It sounds like a problem with the fuel/air mix. Your still running the stock air box, which won't supply a high enough volume of air for the jet...
tErr0 - I have noticed a difference, I have got better throttle response from using higher octane fuel and my bike has not got higher compression....
tErr0 - MOT isn't a problem cause doesn't need one for another two years and, I will just hope I don't bump into many coppers
