using a hotter plug can cause overheating or pre-ignition the tip of the spark plug is longer so it runs hotter,,,,if it overheats it can ignite...
me personally if i wasnt happy with the speed and i only had a 125cc license i would buy an x9 250cc scooter and put the 125cc reg plates...
