it could still be compression ,holding your finger over hole doesnt tell you anything take head and barrel have a look at rings it might a good...
plenty of spares for chinese scooters on e bay put in chinese scooter spares there is a big shop,it might be a shop job to take screw out and fit...
has it got good compression
are the bulbs twin filaments change them one side can be broken

piston is not meant to go any further than top dead centre have you got a base gasket on cylinder , if pistons hitting head you need thicker base...
if fuel pissing out when pipes off, the taps knackered change it, thats your problem
check fuel tap is working correctly,if you take fuel pipe off carb and petrolcomes ,it your tap causing problem, this was same on neighbours scoot
the top pipe on fuel tap is the petrol line to carb the bottom pipe is vacuum pipe
it definitly can be the fuel tap causing it it happened on my speedfight took catrb off and petrol was peeing out fuel hose i put a bolt in it...
have you up jetted the carb for the tt pipe?
is your clutch working, you should be able to pull belt into clutch while fitting it ,sounds like your contra spring might to soft, or the torque...
does the dna have a fuel pump on it? if so thats your problem
yes you do need regulator,its function is to stop excess power going to battery and boiling it ,also you will blow all bulbs on bike to power...

is it aircooled if so, it doesnt have a head gasket, faces are machined ,flush,take gasket out and try bike with out it
