It has been said that the 180 is as good as a malossi item when set up correctly.
They are interchangeable but they are different, the 180 has a lip/ridge on the inside of the belt face where the spacer tube fit's through.

It's recommended to change belt at around 10-12 kms. It wouldn't hurt to change the belt/rollers anyway.
Use a small pick tool or screwdriver and gently prize them out.
It could be the vx 4t runner caliper, the little pads are 2t runner for sure.

The std 180 variator work's fine, as you may know it is different to a 125 so personally I'd keep the 180 set up.
It look's like you have a later rear caliper, gt/gts/vx.
