I would have thought that they tried different pipe lengths when making it and found the length it is to be perfect for sound/ power output.

What exactly are you trying to achieve? A noisy annoying the neighbours type exhaust or an exhaust that improves the performance of the scooter?
That's rather a lot of petrol for 1 mile, take carb off and give it a good clean, check that the choke plunger is not stuck open keeping the choke on.
It's there to stop young children and idiots putting there fingers into the flywheel, probably best to use it as intended!

The simply Sym is restricted in the cdi, the unrestricted cdi is a 30410-t3a-aoo, available from all good Sym dealers plus the carb is restricted...

Just buy an nrg Mc2 13" front wheel, they bolt straight in the typhoon fork's using the typhoon speedo, no mod's at all!
What sort of fuel problem is it? the lack of or too much? What's it doing?
