This is a bit worrying, I have bent the tag on the float to close the jet off more quickly, but now the petrol comes out of the elbow vents...
The picture of the float is up the right way, as it would be in the body of the carb, so to action the needle valve and close the jet off more...
Just to be clear on what you call "the tab" on the float, is it the cut out two sided prong, in the middle, or the upright bit to the right,...
one thing I did notice on one occasion last night, after I changed the float setting I started the engine and then it cut out, and petrol...
when I put the old carb back on, it runs fine, the odd thing is that the jet in the old carb is bigger than the jet in the new carb
I have changed the standard pilot jet from 45 to 38 I changed the standard main jet from 90 to a 70 the spark plug is new, last week
the float level in the bowl has been changed now to 18mm, closing the needle valve sooner, nothing has changed turning the mixture screw out...

I there an original or proper speedo clock, for an Aerox, calibrated in MPH which goes up to about 70 mph

The problem which came to mind with sticking the magnet to the rim was the inherent upsetting of the wheel balance

Yes this is what I meant, the bit with the Phillips screw in was the magnetic bit, which could have been cut down and affixed to the rim, and so...
Yes.....absolutely agree....... but would have been nice if it could have been fitted, which it could have been with a bit of messing around but...
