You don't cut the mounts down, you fit the hinge suspension joint and fabricate some metal work to fit the silent block/stand if your not bodging...
It could be how you start it, there's usually a method with any scooter/bike, give it a squirt of throttle starting it from cold, wind throttle on...

NO! You fit the biggest one you have and work downwards until you find a jet that work's, you don't want to seize it up running a small jet.
I think the major mod we did with the Tomos was to tape-over the lights!

Six (6) hours non stop on a C50 was hard going, One hour on the outfit! We also rode a Tomos and a Fantic super T.

As std the scooter uses a vacuum petrol tap, if it's been changed to a manual tap then it will still work!
What do you mean? Is the cam chain on the crank or can't you fit it to the crank?
I run with headlights on all day and I have white L.E.D lights on the front as well, you can find them on the bay, not hard to fit, worth a try!

You should clean/lube the chain as often as possible, adjust it when needed. it won't hurt it lubing it every week especially over the winter months.
