Most auto scooters do that, it could be the nylon bushes in the scissor joint worn out or maybe to tight if they've been fitted wrong?
How's about using an NRG mudguard ? It's how the runner guard goe's down the rear of the fork legs.
being a Typhoon fan I think it's very tidy indeed, I will dock you 1 mark for the front mudguard, Typhoons don't use them! Otherwise I like it.:)
I just give it a good wire brushing, VHT paint never work's so you'll be doing it regular anyway!
