Have you got the solid one piece cam? The valve lifter cam is usualy in the 180-200 engines. put a photo up of what you have.

Fill the header tank with all pipework connected, if there is no bleed nipple then I'd loosen the top hose clip, let the air out there and then...
A little update, Have cut up two stator plates to make it with two ignition coils and it work's a treat! It goes like f*ck and want's to wheelie...
Have you checked the thread in the carb? It's either drill/lockwire screw or change the carb! That's what I'd do anyway.
What is "spooge"?
Did you fit the spring on the adjuster screw?
Good old clear silicone work's fine for me!
Only problem using 50 mount is it's going to vibrate real bad! The only proper way to do the job is to fit a silent block/joint like typhoon/runner!
That is how you check them, but use jump leads!
The choice to use one is entirely yours!
I would suggest the SYM orbit hd over the joyride, it sit's slightly higher and it's also 4v l/c excellent scooter.
