A lot of friends have had the PM kits and quite a few as to my knowledge were good for a long while (baring in mind that they were being raped)...
Looks smart! I'd get the wheels cleaned up but looks like it's come up well and was a steal for the price.

Not saying it's necessarily the primary cause, however I'd re-ring it anyway as you know it's not right.
