Get a decent power supply and put it direct to the starter motor, if it spins you know its fine and your problem lies elsewhere, if your battery...
The older ones are 2t with powervalve , i dont know much about them but from brief experience it's a c*nt to work on, newer ones are 4t 4 valve...

You've most probably blown a fuse or your battery is flat
well it is a scooter, can always get a bigger one like a X9 etc... Failing that get a van.
If you have a mikuni carb then it should fit. Mikuni carb + mikuni parts sounds about wright to me
