sounds like the front pulley has come off. it wont start as the bendix has either fell out or is not catching on the front pulley
you should change them everytime anyway. ring a few dealers they might have a set laying about
if it overheated and possibly let water into the engine i think you should look at whether the crank and bearings are any good first
