only thing you need to do is drop all the ports to line up (using a gasget spacer @ 1.5mm ) or use a top spacer (between head and cylinder @1.5mm)...
big as possible (more surface area) or buy an old crosser airbox... usually freeflowing as you can get..
at most a 200 kit and a gear up.... dont mess about otherwise, there expensive and work alot better left alone/serviced regularly...
dont use iridium plugs... compression aint high enough to see any gains. br9es
use stock parts, anything else is too hard.. snapped engines and disgustingly tight/hard ride. check wheel bearings/tyre condition/inflation.......

pwk carbs arwe not the same as dells... the jet will be around the 140 mark for a start
pilot jet is too small.... the needle is incorrect.. change to a d25 needle, aq282 atomiser, clean the carb and start again... DO NOT FILE SLIDES....
bit harsh... but ye, alot of nova's are so over molested by chavs.. but a nice tidy one aint a bad car, if done right :)
bad earth from the battery... or the battery is fucked (altho you changed it) otherwise a lazy starter relay or problem wiht the ignition...
