it wont be anything to do with the cdi, i wouldnt of thought... sounds more like your roller weight and/or jetting... when you say "open...
make sure you gap the plugs before fitting, for some reason iridium plugs come with a huge plug gap, and if you dont gap them your performance...
And have you tried a new spark plug yet ??

The scooter should still start from cold, as the choke will be on all the time, if the wires arent connected up...
The edges on the centre electrode have started to round off, meaning your plug has seen better days.... Theres a lot of bull shit spoken about...
would be worth buying a new plug to try imho...
should be using the full range of the pulley faces...
