i would probably say the lock wasnt locked, would have to be an arsey tester to have failed it on a bit of a rock. i personaly would have advised...

does'nt the kit come with the carb?? a mate of mine runs an SR and his came as a kit. i would have thought that the bore kit would still be ok...

from what i remember yes, you do have to cut plastic to fit stand. maybe if your centre stand is too damaged in some way you need to replace it?...
