if your talking about the pipe that comes out of the crankcases and goes to a plastic box with a steel pipe on it, dont worry just leave it all...
iv'e fitted two of them kits this week,changed the reeds aswell that you get with the kit both started second kick no problem, it should still...
take it out and drop it in some hot water, you'll see it open.

mate you need to start from the begining. check your throttle cable aint sticking,air filter off twist the throttle all the way back,looking in...
Pink or brown it don't really matter as long as your happy ;)

The 9 speed variator has only a small selection of rollers, think ive only seen 3 sets on all the websites. Your much better with the 6 roller...
are you runnin an open air filter ? , if so try the standard airbox.. cures a lot of things.
we had a similar problem with an nrg 50, you could gentley rev it up to about 3thou but died if you tried any more, we tried all sorts turned out...
