The carb is brand new and i have tried it with it both connected and disconnected, i have been pulling my hair out with it for weeks following...
Yeah its auto choke (and thats new as well) and i assume the timing is ok as it was running before it was removed? Am i wrong to think that?

It doesnt have a metal tab its all plastic cos thats what i was looking for last night
No i didnt but will check that once i have overhauled the carb cos the seals looked a bit ropey anyway, and i dont think there is any adjustment...
it could be that the fuel valve is clogged and needs replacing it will be on the bottom of the petrol tank
i think i may have found the problem, last night i took the carb off and gave it a clean, checked the float height as suggested and re fitted,...
The drain plug is right underneath the casing near brake lever Not sure what oil tho

Well i bought them both anyway but neither was expensive Used red £10 New stat £19.12
So out of the two its more than likley the rectifier ?

The head lights are a higher wattage than the rest so will show low voltage more, when i was riding it back from mot with the lights on everything...
Its the supply to the light switch that if faulty, at the minute i have replaced the feed to the lights from the rectifier with a feed straight...
Yeah i was thinking that, its less work lol what involved with changing the stator ?
Well after re wiring the front lights to get it through the mot (passed easily) i have ordered a new stator and rectifier, because i have noticed...
