have you removed both of the restricting washers ? my mates dna had 2 restrictor washers he took one out and his bike would only do 25mph ?
my zips only got a 7.5amp as a main i dunno about yours jon
if it fits on then you can and take the float bowl off the bottom of the carb and see what the jet has written on it
I would try and tell you how i wired mine but for 1 i cant remember lol and 2 my wiring's a mess so cant really see what goes where lol.

i know that but if you keep it off air can flow directly to and around the cooling shrouds keeping them cool and more sir will get to fan

its the bit where the ht lead goes to it could be that its not creating enough of a spark
