The variator will come rollered up for a std bike with a std pipe, if you have fitted a sports pipe then lighter rollers will need to be fitted.
where abouts did you put the oil ? in the autolube tank ?
170ml of oil to 5 litres of fuel is an awful lot of oil really ... i use 125ml of oil to 5 litres of fuel 40:1 and thats quite oily really.
my contraption was designed to top up the gearbox on my mk7 Fiesta, admittedly looks abit o.t.t on the scoot... but it works :D

I always buy a box of jets and fit one slightly too large and then work down from there. its a lot safer than running with a jet thats too small...
