If you disconnect the petrol hose from the carb - does it piss petrol ?

did you connect the hoses the right way round?
check your slow jet for blockage -
that should work well. dunno if you can just slap one of those on though. might need a bit of casework. Should be a beast though.

Gravity - your depression pump (if you still have one) is obviously not stopping the fuel from the petrol tank - and your needle valve isn't...
