Yes yes yes! The frame of the scooter and engine need to have continuity, you attached the earth from the engine to the frame, so no continuity.

Check the manifold for leaks/cracks
Start round 95. Don't just stick a 95 in and assume it'll be OK, every scooter is different.
OK, firstly, why are you using a C21 with a MHR rep? A C16 would be a much better match. What clutch do you have?

The engine is the same. If you think you'll crash get the old shape, as panels are far easier to get.
I wouldn't say they were bad, it's just a generic statement that they use on all their cylinder kits. Never had a problem with them myself.
Aye nathan, it's on the bench now. It had a 28mm PWK Minor.
Get the carbed version if you want to be able to fix it if it goes wrong.
