well burton is very near derby..the peak district is the nearest place for a good long ride through mountain roads etc .its a national park thing...
Ain't that hard to do yourself..go slow and a few big bodies peeling it on gently.then off for a balance.
Well with a nice bit of wireing like that..ide buy a few good connectors and a new holder(need one)..then if youve sorted which wire is high beam...

if you can give the battery a good charge and/or rev the bike a bit and everything stays stable then you should be ok.for a pass,no lights should...

I think it will be fine so long as nothing rubber or plastic is in direct contact with the engine or exhaust pipe etc where any heat can directly...
