It sounds like you havnt put the indicator power wires from the regulator to the indicator unit, if they arent flashing and just staying on then...

i agree but i would also just take the oil pump out al together and just pre-mix, you know that you are always getting oil then...
i would run PJ1 or castrol if its only a 50 or a low power 70, pretty good oil and doesnt cost that much...

I wouldnt get a primary gear up kit, get a secondary gear up kit for better top end, depending on how much power the kit will pump with a primary...
its always to use fully synthetic oil like putoline, but semi-synthetic oils like castrol and PJ1 are fine .. :)
