Oil is nothing to do with power its to do with surface area and temperature, semi-synthetic or synthetic is fine to be run in a 70, i ran pj1...
How am i insulting you I used to have a 70 and have only just starting riding my 172 so stop crying.
The pilot jet could be blocked that has happened to me before...
Or should i say how long the pipe needs to be for maximum performance and the size ???
Just use owt that is semi-synthetic or fully sythetic what does it matter really its only a 70 ffs...

Are you sure your tick over is turned up and with the needle fully raised it means its running rich at mid-throttle, try knocking it down one or...

The thing is i know what the mixture screw does and everything but i just dont know how to tell when you have it right for your bike???
Iv never changed one tbh, i change my needle for throttle responce really thats about it haha :)
Just put a 21mm carb it would be fine and best performance, it lets your engine breath more, the jetting isnt that high for a 21mm it will...
incresae the main jet size and twist the mixture screw all the way in (clockwise) then start it up and just turn the mixture screw 1 and a half...
Yes i know i can slow down and speed up with the traffic manuling to slow down and dropping the front end a bit to speed up, i dont wheelie off...
i can wheelie a mile and half on my 172 haha, on my 70 i could only do half of that so power does come into it haha :)
You can wheelie a standard zip ffs its not hard...
