    So I just rebuilt my Piaggio typhoon with a 172 kit, 25mm carb, scorpion, other tuning parts. 45 idle jet, 105 main, AQ266, D24 needle (Top clip)....

    That breather hole needs covering. it's used as a vacuum basically but if its not sealed then its sucking in too much air.

    Yep! Like tErr0 said, should be fine, should work exactly the same either way it spins as there's nothing on it that makes is uni-directional :)...
