SR 125/172 Project

Hi just this is my second project my first was a runner 172 in my DP but didn' t get up any pics,

im allso abit late on this project, as i havn't got any pics of the bike complete as standard

only these so far,


SR just after engine and back end removed.


engine was removed as the splines on the crank where so worn. the variator was just sliping,





Few new parts to rebuild the engine. PM 52mm crank, 125 piston kit, gasket set, new crank bearing, and incorrect engine bushes,

PM Variator and PM clutch bell second hand from ebay.




order'd a set of panels from ebay got them from some guy brand new only opened never put onto the bike .


Slight flow and polish to the cases,



got engine back after a month as my friend had alot more work had to have most the bolts retaped as they kept snapping,



engine back with PM inlet 25mm carb all cleaned new bolts and engine bearings,




Bearings ,



Hope to get the engine built over the next few weeks, current setup

125 barrel - head
25mm Dellorto
PM inlet
PM 52 Crank
PM variator
PM clutch bell

New front and rear light on the way

 

looking for a 172 kit and good exhaust

 

quick update few new bits arrived anodized blue front and rear lights.

 

lil new update, gilera runner st side stand drilled and fitted

 

engine looks mint! and so do them lights! this is going to be brilliant

blue rear lights, do they show up red

 

not sure yet hope to fit them tomoz i coul allways get red bulbs if not or put on my red lenses

 

got the engine in today had a crack in my engine mount so got a new mount,
allso have sanded down afew panels for a respray.

hi guys lil update got afew things done this past few weeks here are afew pics.

 

got the panels sanded and resprayed

 

got my hands on a leo vince zx pipe from ebay in goodcondition but give it a sand and spray.

 

got my hands on a gilera ice bracket that i have mounted allso made myself a bracket so i can mount my indicators on the ice bracket, not sure if this has been done before so thought id make it look abit smarter,
bracket fitted with indicators loosely fitted.

 

this is as far as i have got so far managed to fit afew panels as i had to modify the undertray for the custom side stand.

 

looks good that mate, like the idea of the indicators on the ice bracket, but wont you have wires showing?

 

The red lenses on the blue lights looks good. Like how you did those indicators alot aswell gonna be a nice bike

 

Cheers ramo just having trouble getting the indicators to flash there just staying on, im guessing I need diffrent watt bulbs for them.

 

Got afew more panels on today still needs some work and a good clean.
