after looking at how the paint has dried and realising how hard and how much its going to cost me in paint to do the bike in this colour i have decided im going to go with the idea i came up with the other day li will give you a clue it has a theme of a retro game
bit of an update nothing major completely stripped the engine down to the bare minimum and de-greased and cleaned it up at work then going to respray it make it look alot better have to drill out some bolts that the previous owner snapped and use nuts and bolts
Looking good, mine still got muck on it, its going to take ages to get it completly back to metal lol You going to keep it air cooled or are you going to fit a water pump?
it took me about an hour to get it looking like that lol use a wire wheel on a drill thats what i did worked a treat haha and yea keeping it air cooled
heres some updates (i know my other pics arent showing having problems with photobucket, i have sent them a message hope it gets sorted soon) heres the update i ordered some l.e.d strips for my rear lights and indicators i may need to cut them down as i think they are abit long atm will fit them to the panel 2moz i decided to change the colour scheme and have abit of a theme with the bike to mix it up abit sprayed the engine housing primered then the black made a stencil of the theme im going with and here is the final product then is was on with the panels gloss black just need laquring resprayed the belly pan gloss black going to get a sticker made up for it in the end respraying the inner panels aswell matte have primered them ready for paint as i was in bristol over the weekend i stopped in pedparts and purchased these tnt handle bars and str8 stem, had no problems with fitting the stem i as i have been told they have worked on the design so it fits alot better and a bag of screws and clips fitted them and had 2 other peds sitting up at my work we were given ones a jap import which i have nicked some parts off and the other is a suzuki katana and heres the bars fitted with the switch and brake lever fitted which i nicked of the japanese ped will be cracking on with purchasing tuning parts in the new year when i have money and its my bday in jan so will be asking for funds lol all comments welcome
i cut back the pipe and filled it with black silicon sealer (i took it off before hand lol) just waiting for the documents to come through before a do any tuning mods and other mods incase they say it does come up stolen to which i will be paying somebody a visit if it does
right UPDATES heres more of the panels rear panel is finished and has a gloss shine will try get a better pic all inner panels finished in matte black then took the front shock apart to give them a coat of paint however on removing them there didnt seem to be much fluid coming out of them how much fluid is supose to be in them? as a there was about a shot glass full in one but none in the other sanded them back added primer and gloss black then time for colour and detail to keep in with the theme and then fitted them i removed the plastic cover as looked abit shit with it on and they werent in the best condition but if its advised to keep them on i will refit them then started on redoing the wiring making it abit neater fitted the inner panel and mounted a full light on it and a switch for my side lights as the handle bar switch doesnt have one and on the throttle side there will only be a start button which comes on the stage6 quick action throttle also made a checkered floor plate all comments welcome as usual
cheers mate thought i would do something abit different will be ordering a stage6 crank soon then spending money each month on tuning parts
Those buttons wont pass m.o.t by the way. as you can't get to them without taking your fingers off the bars
