hi everyone, ive recently bought a suzuki ay50 that i got off ebay, i bought the bike to use as a project just to kill some time, here are some pictures of what the bike looked like at purchase.. 1.JPG

picture dont give justice on how SH*T the bike looked, the exhaust was falling off (exhaust engine mount snapped!) the bike was scraped and scratched all over, had a couple of cracks in the fairing and the indicators were taped on.

so.. i took the bike home and decided the best thing to-do first was to clean the bike and take the horrible Learner plate off the rear numberplate..

then i went out to a local hardware store and bought a bracket for the new Learner plate to sit on..

    100_0847.JPG

i then went out and bought some grips from my local motorbike shop..

the rear indicators needed to go..

    100_0857.JPG

the next step was to replace them with something more modern, so i ordered some new indicators and later that week they arrived..

    100_0847 (2).JPG

the second they came through the door i went to my ped to fit them :)

    100_0852.JPG

then i decided the exhaust had to go, then had great difficulty getting the bolt out from the head, GRRR...

    bolt stuck!.JPG

but i didnt give up there, WD - 40 and some strong will power :D

    100_0857 (2).JPG

off it came!!! was only held on by one seized up bolt :/

here are some pictures of what it looks like so far after a clean up :)

went out to the bike today and was thinking of what colour to spray the bike, i had many thoughts and have been thinking about this for a long time! so i looked at everyone elces peds on here on scootershack and decided that i didnt want to have a 'paint' job as such, so i have planned to get sticker bomb books 2 & 3 to sticker bomb the outside pannels of my ped :D after that i will apply 5-6 layers of clear cote! this will protect the stickers from the weather :) theres allways someone who wants to be different.. pics soon to follow..

Hello again, still waiting on the sticker bomb books to arrive, so couldn't do much today, however i did go to halfords and bought some tyre cleaner and some adhesive..

    100_0858 (2).JPG

i cleaned the bike up all over and if i do say so myself it looks stunning (aside the paint job),(going to be stickerbombed), here are some pictures of the cracks i used the adhesive on, and also the bike as it stands for now..

small update; took the stickers off today to find the bike was badly scraped down the front fairing. grrrr! annoyed that it was hidden under a sticker, allthough not the end of the world, just means more sanding i suppose. still annoying tho..

yes, as soon as the other stickers arrive, ive ordered different ones for round the edges, simply because they need to be stronger stickers on the edges

use heat when putting the sticking on the edge. if you pit a sticking on a sharp bend it will want to bubble or peal off, heating the plastic makes it hold the new shape better
