my 172 runner

ok guys so i bought this runner for £1200 all numbers are matching and the hpi is clear






it has a pm 59 with red end can
malossi 172 kit
malossi reed block and reeds
malossi intake
25mm dellorto with manual choke
some open airfilter
malossi shock
vx forks
pm levers
pm tuning back wavy disk
and evos

ok now the bad bits this is where im gona need your help

first i dont think the fan is working ,
the temperature gauge not working,
the indicator switch is worn out and loose
i think the indicator relay is gone as indicators stay on when i turn them on
the brake light dont work
the ignition barel is not working ( strts with no key as the thing at the back is missing )
seat lock dosent work ( not snaped or broken just no key barrel )
the high beam is not turning on ( maybe not wired up properly?)
and back tyre is gone


ok so plans for the winter :
manual switch for fan
new buttons
koso speedo
new relay
front led indicators
lexus back light
new ignition barrels so same key for seat and ignition
new seatlock
wire the evo light up properly
brand new set of tyres
set of brake pads
engine cleaned and sprayed black
grab rail sprayed in black
pm pipe cleaned and painted
all new same bolts for plastics
some alarm system
flick up number plate
a nice kick star lever
wheels powder coated in neon green same as the spare set of evo vents that i have
malossi shock spring sprayed in black
some new foot pegs and foot plates

im keeping the aerox till i turn 17 ( april 2012) . For my runner got a complete wiring loom for £40 yesterday and a pair of indicators so i think the new loom will sort out some problems, i have also stripped it down completely and it looks like the engine has newer been token out yet so will do a good clean up , spray the frame and forks maybe the engine for now will come up with some pictures . here are some that i have done few days ago :

I haven’t took no more pictures as it was dark but bike is on the wheels and runs had a little go on the street ,
Wheels are going to be powder coated in gloss black as soon as I get my new tires ,
Still have a lot of work to do.


























my budget disappeared so need to wait for xmas to get some fresh parts
so things that i want to do :

spray inters in matt black
spray wheels in gloss black
spray grab rail in black
spray the gold bracket in black
get some different end can
get lexus style tail light ant tint it a little bit
led front indicators also slight tint
koso clocks
new set of pirreli tires
new brake pads
front wavy disk
carbon under tray
small numberplate
carbon mudguard,
pass mot buy some taxes
and finally some get massive chain and loud alarm

a little accident:

since last time i have fitted malossi belt, malossi torque spring, new torque drive and new front pulley.​

i was disappointed about the horn as you could barely hear it because of the engine is so loud so i now have fitted two piaggio horns and that shit sounds like a lorry now , ​

also have fitted smoked lenses all round ​

in addition to that ​

i have done some work over weekend - wheels, side case and grab rail sprayed in gloss black.​

oh and i got few orange led's in my speedo instead of little bulbs that dont give no light at all ,​

thats it for now ,
i still have some things in mind but thats if i get a job as this little toy is to expensive for a 17 yr old that goes to college

Hey, i have a 2001 runner and my temperature gauge doesn't work either neither thee fuel gauge. Im gonna be looking into these tomorrow so whatever i find out ill let you know

little update : sorted out the evo light now the high beam works , also the horn is working all trough you cant hear it when engine is running .

but there is a slight problem all my electrics start working only when i start the bike ?? i dont really mind that but will i pas MOT like this?? if no what the problem could be? i think i connected the startor wrong as i dont work :/ could that be it?

lol im keeping it till spring when prices are going up then i think im gona sell it as there is no point keeping it i will rather invest the money in my full bike license
