 Hi, I am now 3 or 4 days into riding my new bike which was brought from direct bikes and I have ran into a problem. My headlight and rear light are both not working although my full beam and brake light are working. Any ideas as to what my problem may be?
Re: Headlight and rear light bike Two posts have been removed from this topic following an email that says this. This is Thomas Harris who seems not to want to give his full name. Also each "review" site that you find when googling for direct bikes seems amazingly to be hosted by the same hosting company as Direct bikes sites. http://www.scooter.co.uk http://www.mopeds.co.uk Are two sites which point towards direct bikes. http://www.directbikesparts.co.uk/ http://www.directbikes.co.uk/ http://www.directbikesuk.co.uk/ Are all "review" sites which are hosted by the same hosting company which is http://www.webfusion.co.uk/ or http://www.xcalibre.co.uk Here are a few links to easily findable bits of information if you google for direct bikes. http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/watchdog/2008/11/direct_bikes.html http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20100610173015AAEHrnq http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=2997096&highlight=direct+bikes+scooter http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/community/Forums/Categories/Topic/?&topic-id=389627
Re: Headlight and rear light Give em two fingers - they're talking bollocks It's only libel if statements are published that are known to be untrue and it can be proven that such statements caused harm to the party they were directed to. If it were true that you could sue for libel would be no bad reviews left on the internet. I don't know why they did it anway, it just makes them look worse.
i had an issue with my lynx scooter from direct bikes. The headlight (whether in low or high beam)decides to go on and off, usually in a sequence of three times. This happens many times throughout the day but is only noticeable by myself at night time . Ive taken to an approved direct bikes service center as well as 2 other reputable mechanics. they cannot find fault visually and have also traced the headlight wiring back to the battery and found no problem. this defect has happened from the first days of me purchasing the bike and should be covered by the 12 months warranty, direct bikes refused my claim as i did not have the bike serviced at 300km (i did at 450km), some of us have jobs where we cant just take time off from work to have a bike serviced at exactly 300km), i had it serviced when i could get time off from work and when i could book it in. 3 months later i still have this problem with the headlight and i guess i always will. no one yet has come up with any viable solutions for the reason. direct bikes have no after sales care which can be regarded as satisfactory by any means. they take your money and thats it. companies like this will always find a legal way of not helping their customers and customers will usually never win against them. i will never recommend them or use them again.
