aprilia sonic gp 50 project

this is my new bike as sold the bali
picked it up today not thinking it had any tuning work done
to we got it home in the van and i had a look why it was not running

turns out it was not running down to a blocked jet and a blocked fuel filter
so put a new filter in and cleaned jet out
she started up on the button

mods i have seen so far on it are
metrakit 70cc kit maybe more going to have a good look tomorrow


i picked up a new hebo exhaust for it today
will have better photos tomorrow with the exhaust fitted








the guy give me lots of spares with the bike to
rear lights , battery , the 50cc top end , spare gearbox , spare wheels

Alright bike, not a fan of it but looks tidy! looks comfy as hell too lol

they can look nice though tbh

 

yep it feels good bit low the seat tho giving it a good wash today and fit the new exhaust will get better photos then

I brought a stolen one off a bunch of pikeys, completely stripped out for £30. Was bloody fast offroad aswell since it had no weight to it! no electronics, no pans, no clocks no nothing just an engine and 2 wheels on the frame!

Try to take some pics in the light I cant see them very well!

 

didnt get photos today as went out to put the exhaust on and look over the bike
was looking over the bike and put the new kick start on went to nick it over but the kick start just went right round
has neary no compression so taken the head off the bike to find that the piston has more marks over it then i have had dinners this month and the bore in the head has some very deep marks and lines all in so orderd new 70cc kit

the bore has some marks on but not half as bad as the piston

 

2 days ago i saw a AIRSAL 70cc KIT on ebay going cheap i know the pistons are not very good on them but it was so cheap i got it as a spare kit if my one blows up or something lol





not bad for £40 posted have orderd a new gasket set for it to so if i need to i can fit it right away

getting some photos tomorrow of the bike with the exhaust on when i have given it a good clean

lol @ the piston but if it runs i think you should run that old 50 to the death with the pipe on haha

 

i killed the 50cc top end with that pipe in under a day lol

all i done was taken it for the mot then post office to tax it and on the way home it just died no power at all then cut out and woodnt restart lol

 

right got some better photos of the bike today with my mate as he wanted to have a good look at the bike to

oil tank off as you can see from the photos and seen more tuning parts that was fitted to
things i seen today are
malossi variator kit
white clutch sptings and main spring
dr no limit cdi












i just love the look of the exhaust on it lol

have been rebuilding the engine not got a lot done so far as baby has been born so not a lot of time to be working on the bike but this is it so far

tnt crank
airsal 70cckit
polini secondary gear kit
oko 30mm carb
malossi variator
hebo exhaust
hebo clutch
hebo inlet

still more to come to

 

30mm is masively overkill for that setup

 

get a 25 on

 

yep you lot are right i only got it as come up cheap
have orderd a oko 24mm carb off ebay

with the 30mm have jeted it as best i can no low end but when it get's going seems to go well
for now have put the 12mm pchp carb back on and had to use a 86 jet run's ok with not bad power in the high and low rpm

 

have fitted a yamaha neos 50cc a/c motor for now as rebuilding the l/c motor with all mhr parts over the next 2 months




got my new number plate on now and belly pan is back on

rides so nice as the neos engine the rear shock mount is more higher up so has lifted the rear end up by 2 to 3 inchs
