Hi everyone, thought id make a proper project thread. When I first got the Ped, the panels were really bad. I took them off and they stayed at work where I would be fixing it, so I to it round like this for a few months; I started fixing the panels at work, using plastic and various glues and resins to repair them Meanwhile at home, I was buying parts for a bar conversion which finally went on And also loads of parts for a full engine rebuild, including a PM crank
I stripped the engine right down for the rebuild. It then got sent to a local specialist to have the crank put in and aligned. I put a new rear bearing in as well as all the seals in the gear casing And while it was all apart, I sand blasted and painted a spare side casing I had, and fitted new kickstart parts
Then after a long wait, the primer went on the panels And a few days ago, the paint went on. Tomorrow my parts will be delivered, which are; Inner knee panel Footboard panel Battery cover So it should all be looking brand new at the moment the old inner panels let down the new paint. Thanks
Looking gooood now pal..... one thing i wanna know though, in the 2nd pic, why does the exhaust loook so weird and small? lol ...
Yeah I was so lucky haha, the brake light and indicators didn't work too. I saw 4 police cars in the whole time I had it like that. Feels Wierd to ride something that's nice now haha
Yeah man that's the part of your bike that I love People took the piss when I rode it with no panels, now everyone asks two question when theye see it; "is that brand new?" and "let me have go on it mate?". My answer it usually, "Yeah" and "fuck off"
the only answers you can give when your bike looks that fresh ! Got the Polini stickers on there yet mate ?
Vid of my Doppler s3r Stickers finally got made today, had to do a little bit of sketching up to get the right measurements haha Bit wonky but it was only to see if the dimensions looked okay
