Hi all im new to this but basically i have a piaggio zip 50 2t that i bought a few weeks ago it was running fine nut was a but slow top end so i decided to order a new jet and filter as it has a tt race pipe, i took the carb apart to fit the new 62 jet to find it already has a 65 so iput it back together fitted the new air filter and new rollers, i took it out and the power had improved it was ticking over a bit high but felt ok, i took it inside and within about a minute my floor was covered in fuel, so i took the petrol pipe of to stop it and now if i put the pipe back on it flows through, and it wont run, any help on this would be much appreciated

If you have un-restricted fuel flow, could mean your vacumn? tap is stuck open.

Even without trying to start the bike if i put fuel pipe on it fills carb and flows out

If the float isn't stuck, maybe the needle is stuck open? If the float and float needle are working fuel should not fill the carb and just flow out. So check the float height and float needle. Could be some tiny bit of dirt where the needle seats or not adjusted right.

when you take the fuel pipe off the carb does the petrol run out of the pipe ?
if petrol runs out of the pipe then its the vacummn tap at the tank that's stuck open petrol shouldn't run unless the engine is being turned over or started
