replaced the regulator/rectifier thingy under the left hand side panel and still no luck. They did flash for a bit but when i flicked the switch again they stopped. anyone got any ideas?
Eliminate the rectifier flasher from the system. Buy a flasher relay (couple of quid) two pole 12v. Take the handlebar cowling off to reveal the flasher switch on the handlebars. Run a wire from the power to the horn to the "B" mark on the new flasher relay or find a live with ignition on and do the same. Cut the black and blue wire a few inches from the flasher switch on the bars and run this to the "L" terminal on the flasher relay. You now have indicators when the ignition is on  Power is supplied by the battery with the ignition on....runs to the relay which is dormant until you use the flasher switch then diverts to which ever side you`ve flicked the switch.
