Don't be alarmed, I've not gone mad and brought one of these. I'm posting on behalf of my next door neighbour/good friend.

This evening I get a phone call, hes broken down 3 or 4 miles away and thinks he ran out of petrol, so I get a hose pipe and go to meet him on my ped.

I get there, couldent see or hear fuel sloshing around in the tank but his fuel light wasent on, so I assumed his fuel light was out and he just ran out of petrol.

So I syphen fuel from my tank into his with the hose pipe. I got about a pint into his tank then tried to start it.. It fired up for a split second then stopped and wouldnt start, dead as a dodo.

So I removed the service cover, checked the plug and it was sparking, just... Removed the airbox cover, filter was filthy, so I try to start without the filter.. Again fired up and ticked over for about 0.5 second then cut out. put filter back together as it wasent dirty enough to cause the problem IMO.

So after putting everything back, and having a fag break.. I goes and kickstarts it and it fired, this time it stayed idling long enough for me to give it throttle, and she revved and idled perfect..

Just all of a sudden runs perfect again.

But, reason why I think its electrical is because the right hand side indicators flash WAY too fast and all bulbs are working. The Fuel AND Oil lights dont come on when starting the bike.

So im thinking theres a minor electric problem that made the bike cut out and drown the spark.

Somethings gone barmy or got wet, anyone know what it could be?

he ended up taking it to a shop and they fixed it and its running fine now.

but now we want to de-restrict it, does anyone know if these are restricted with a spacer inbetween the front pullys like on a 2t?
