Hi guys I recently purchased a zip 125 4t it was fine for months then one morning I was going to the shop and it just cut out and wouldn't start.

I've replaced the plug and coil and lead with no success i have also checked the fuse near the battery and the two at the front. The two wires going to the coil are live but the coil doesn't become live I tested with a multimeter and by touching them I know the coil works as it was taken off a fully working zip engine.

I am using the electric start as the kicks spring has come off the battery is also fully charged.

As you may tell I am not great with bikes and am needing some advice here, thanks

    Hi guys,

Any ideas? The scooter has been stood for around 2 months now I've got 9 months t&t left and I'd like to get back on the road ASAP.

The "local" rip off garage asked for £120 just to take a look at the scoot I can't afford that an quite honestly I reckon there trying to take me for a c*nt. if anyone has ideas or can point me in the right direction that would be very much appreciated.
