so smooth and quiet, so efficient they sound electric, so reliable , the best fun handling, the best comfort, always a happy vibe/aura, and then all the other benefits of 2wheeled driving > fresh air, healthy, coolness, stands out etc etc. thats why i love 50cc scooters.
1: there cheap to insure 2: petrol dont cost a lot seen as u can fill most scooters on £7 or a lil bit more 3: on a bike you (or maybe just me ) feel like your hands on with the bike where as in a car your just sat there pressing levers 4: can cut through traffic and not have to sit in jams 5: easy to maintain and look after 6: have freedom so you can go places with out having to wait for pubic transport of getting lifts off people 7: and generally just to have fun
I can get to and from work for a fiver a week and my insurance is £19 a month. cheaper than a bus pass for a month!
got mine for free (never knock back a freebie) and ive decided to keep it for the fact that its a cheap winter hack to keep my big bike clean and working and hey scoots r fun
I love my Vespa because its more fun to ride than driving my Ford Grand C-Max I love spending £7.50 to fill up, not £75 I love parking literally outside the airport entry doors at work I love the £18 a month insurance including breakdown cover, with zero no-claims and no experience I love the smile it puts on my face when I ride it I love 'tinkering' with it and learning about it I love that my four year old daughter thinks its really cool! I love that it was cheaper than the Mercedes sports car option for my 40th birthday
I'm a bit ADD so for me scooters are perfect because I can put all my focus on the road, wheras with a motorbike or car my mind would have to be on all the other things like clutch and gears and such, it just wouldn't be very safe for me I don't think (or other people on the road, I would be too worried about killing someone while driving a damn car), so with a scooter I can just sit there and focus on the road and the only bike things I need to be aware of are the throttle and brakes, obviously. Oh, indicators too. Then there's all the other points everyone has mentioned which are just like, cheaper / easier to maintain, etc etc, plus it's actually fun to ride. When I got my first scooter about 8 years ago I would go out at night like 2am and just ride around with the throttle all the way back (fuck the po-leece) with no other cars on the road, just riding around long strips of road and having fun.
The scooter is seemly one of the catchiest vehicles being especially driven in the comfortable countries of the world. Scooters are fuel-efficient and much less expensive than cars, it's simply a fact. The mpg is remarkable and the overall cost is low. Plus, they're great for the growing childless urbanite populace.
Well im 27 next month and I must say i've never owned a Car, never tried doing a Car test, i've always liked Motorbikes, im not the type to go out all the time and go long distances so never needed a Car anyway, im on a CBT for my Bike which expires June 2014, will be another £130 for another 2 years, was thinking of going for my full test to ride something bigger but thinking about it I dont really want to, fair enough I have to keep the L Plate, cant have passengers and cant go on Motorways but thats nothing, doesnt bother me, my neighbour always goes on about me getting a 'proper Bike' as him and his friends have big Yamaha's etc and they always go out for rides up some Mountains etc but im happy with the Scooters, I only use it to get some air or if I need to go to a family members or shop etc, £17 a year Tax, £192 a year Insurance, £8 to fill up, its alot better in my eyes, fair enough i've seen some beautiful Racing Bikes but it's gears for me, cant get my head around them lol i'd rather sit comfortable and pull back a throttle and thats it, can get to 60mph easy on my Bike, can go faster but havent been on a road long/straight enough yet to get the full speed, but hardly do 60mph anyway what with the road bumps everywhere these days! so yeah, Scooters, alot cheaper, work well, fast, reliable
Phewww......is that all then, ..........no other reason........ if you want a scoot,......... then that is enough reason, but your insurance seems a bit high
Tried to think of other reasons but nope, think thats it and I think my Insurance was higher with my other Bikes, £204, now £196 actually, cheapest one I came across at the time, thought I might aswell stay with them aswell instead of looking elsewhere as some friends with Scooters are paying alot more.
This is what the Insurance companies hope for, for the sake of 10 minutes on line you could save yourself some money every year, don't be their slave, make them be yours, you pay for it
to be honest, my scooter was shite compared to my geared bike! it was slower, more to insure, used more fuel, handled worse, brakes worked less, and cost more to buy!
i got a scooter because it was easyer to do my cbt than it was doing my car test i bought a cheap speedfight 100 and its cost me through the arse but having a scooter is so much fun when its working -.-
