got a yamaha tzr 125 1990 just had to rebore it got a new piston and spark plug fitted them got good spark but the spark plug doesnt seem to be getting any fuel to it as when i take it out it is as dry as paper, with the spark plug out it has good compression with my hand over the hole but with the spark plug in it sounds hollow and wont start when i cant seem to figure out what the problem is any help?
the hollow sound will be that you're trying to start it with an open throttle CDI's of the early 1990's need the throttle closed when you kick it over. As for the fuel. Try the petrol tap and work your way down. If theres petrol to the carb, the float or needle could be stuck if the carbs been standing for a while or the jets blocked with gum from dried petrol
