    Hi Guys,
This Time i am coing To talk about my own scooter
    A yamaha Tmax 500 2003 model
That is the earliest model with carbs
I bought it from a garage engine non running and a nasty metal grinding noise when you crank it

It turned up the timing chain and tensioner was worn out and the chain jumped
Luckily no damage to the piston
    Just some really light dent
But the valve were definitely dead as well as the valve guides
I found a second head cylinder head from a bike who suffered house light fire damage
And that s when my project started
    I originally fitted
    Malossi overrange kit
Malossi higher gear kit with heavy duty transmission chain
    K&N air filter and
    Akrapovic full exhaust

I enjoyed the bike with those mods for a year and last summer I fitted a set of malossi power cam
Hear are the few pictures taken during the fitting

Getting ready to fit the cam
The issue with those bikes they require specific spacer to adjust the valve play and the cam being different I had take be bike less for a week the time for me to order the correct parts and them to turn up

Here is the engine with the cam cover off waiting for it internal organ transplant

blurgh i hate those valve shims, what a ball ache they can be sometimes. much prefer adjustable tappets.

Yeah bit of a pain but any high power stuff nowadays have shim in them less weight and friction
