    Hi all,

Sometimes my 2002 Yamaha xn125 is difficult to start. I am not sure whether its my technique in starting or there is an issue.

So i hold front brake, tiny bit of throttle and hit the electric start. It will almost fire a few times but prob wont. After a few tries, it will start with the auto choke putting the revs quite high for a little while, then all calms down.

I have changed the spark plug,
    Air filter looks clean,
    Oil recently serviced,
    Coolant level ok.

Is there a tutorial for carb cleaning? I have filled up with shell V Power to burn through to try and help.

    Any ideas?

When is it difficult to start? Every morning when it's used every day? Every few days as it's not used much? Ever month as it's hardly ever used? etc.

Is it regularly serviced as per the service handbook?

    Thanks for your feedback.

Ive actually fixed that problem now. Replaced the spark plug, cleaned battery terminals/cables, and cleaned out the carb a bit.

However, yesterday riding along well and the bike cuts out and would not start.

Had to get it recovered to a bike show, but not sure what to expect.

    Any ideas? Thanks.
