    rxs.jpg bought this monday night for £500



    going to be doing it up a bit cafe racer style

    .new seat
    .new lights and indicators
    .possible respray?
    .tidy up eletrics
    .sevice

    took the rear apart today 2013-04-18 13.24.18.jpg my seat pan needs replacing badly so thinking of buying a proper cafe style seat with the fairing attached to it

    Cor,mate..that bike was the f.....g bomb was i was younger!,
    most of us were riding around on gp100's (my all-time fav.!.),
    purportedly the fastest going aircooled100 around/topping out
    at 72-75mph.
    Unfortuneatly my only experience riding one was when took my full
    test in the early 90's....rode it forwards 50 yds. put on front brake 'an
    it imploded!,shortest bike ride/ownership/rental,etc. in my history on 2 wheels. :).

    nice bike for £550 looks well nice and im not fussed if i was ripped off im happy with what i paid and thats all that matters

    dose anyone know how fast theese go standard? as i cant ride mine till june and mine has a micron sports exhaust im told it dose 80-85

    It will not! go that fast as is unless your speedo's lying,will do over 70,
    tuned up properly i'd say you should hit your end/quote (though low-range
    will suffer!)

    Respect mate, I wasn't dissing the bike, I just thought £500 seemed a lot when compared to my old man's bike.
    A set of clip ons and one of those single seats with a fibreglass hump and it will look real cool.
    Don't forget to get plenty of brylcream for your hair and a pudding basin hemet with chequered tape.

    Giggle (don't forget f/pilot goggles),just saying as you seen the price(s) the ckassic brigade would probaly charge
    for what us essentially a teen 80's/90's icon.eeek. :) .

    It's like wheeler dealers, the other week they bought a tatty MK1 escort for £4000, tarted it up and sold it for £12,000. WTF.

    just ordered an origional seat for it as i have decided to just restore it to origional apart from the exhaust and a few other performance mods my dads mate tunes up old 2 stroke as a hobby so im probaly gonna take it to hime and get him to tune up the engine for me

    Go for the Cafe Racer look, it's all the rage now and it will certainly increase the value of your bike. Did you see my reply to your cafe racer seat request.

    yh i saw your reply and i think ill still just fully restore and keep it like that for a while why i save up enogh money to get really nice cafe stuff and custom painted

    Make sure you're round him all the way/pick up on major pointers.
    Original spec./spannie/maybe mild mod. on bars/'bit' of a tune from someone
    who knows what their on about,bike like that-think thats class mate!. :) .

    have partley stripped the bike ready weld a crack in my frame and so i can paint my frame and swing arm will upload pics tomorow

    Love to do a cafe racer stylee on a small geared bike,
    it'd have to be a yam,but most importantly an fs1e (right-
    down to the mini windshield on headlight). :D.
