I have a 2014 Jog RR with 1600 miles on it.

for the first 15 minutes it rides perfect,

but after it struggles to pick up speed

i have booked it in for a new drive belt.

\does anybody know what it could be?

if you have it booked in for a new belt, have them run it out for a 15/20min ride, that problem should show its head while they are out
and the mech will have a more clear picture of whats going on.

it could be a number of things , and hence we could be pushing you in the wrong direction trying to find the fault causing this slow pickup.

1600 miles? you sure its only 1600 miles? not 16000?

if so it wont need a belt, a belt wouldnt give this problem ether way. fuel startvation, overheating, malfunctioning choke would.

unplug the choke (cold bike, not ridden for hours) then switch it on, see if it is the same or diff...
could be gunk in the carb, remove the bottom and clean everything, it could well be horid if its low mialage and 2 years old. check for any splits in the inlet and air filter pipes. again sitting about not doing anything means rubber rots, splits, is useless.

if it is infact 16000 miles then the issues will no doubt be different, ie overheating due to an old tired cylinder, naff oil seals or generally tired engine in need of a rebuild
