    Hi all

    I have recently bought a bws 125 it's 4t on a 14 plate .

top speed is only like 65mph at a push won't go over it not even down hill lol.

does anyone else own one of these and know where the restrictors are ??? is a washer in the exhaust or not

    Thanks guys

    125s aren't restricted per se.
But buying a variator kit will help it.

It's not restricted they are designed that way. 50cc scooters are artificially restricted to keep within the EU laws for mopeds.
Without restrictions they will do app 45mph.
If you want a 125 to go faster you will need to look at tuning parts eg exhaust/carb/ variator etc.
My 14 Typhoon 125 4T would just about manage 65 as well.

Just looked at the BWS 125 specs and it's injected so you can't do anything about a carb or jetting.

Oooh if its EFI you can reprogram it to be faster....
You need to take it to a yamaha dealer, if they have the right software they can remove the limiter on the ECU...

Don't waste your money on a loud, "no-go-faster" exhaust !
