hi guys, i have my bike at a garage and they seem to be having trouble with it. not sure if any of use know what it is but any suggestions will be passed on to the garage, basiicly when i took my bike in to them it wouldnt start, for me to get it started i had to kick start it between 5 - 10 times, but it would run perfect, the garage have had it and found that the was no air filter, so they put a air filter in it and it is not working, it starts but it just revs and wont move. they have checked the jets and they are standard jets, it has a leo vince tt pipe on it. the bike has 12k miles on it and is a 2008 yq aerox. has this happened to you if so please tell me what you done? also if you know what to do please let me know. all your help will be apprechiated.
what do i do for that mate? they charging me for looking at my bike they are going to make a fortune of me. it has been at the garage since saturday but they had it for a few days the week before. i need to get it sorted got to start putting my new bits on there. please help guys
Right do these things first ive brougth a new engine before just becasuse it wasnt earthed at the starter motor when i was junoir Check make sure earth tight on start motor clean carb change fuel cange plug make sure rollers not worn. If take the belt of does the bike rev if so its a transmission problem problys, if it still doesnt then its deffo a carb issue. Does it have alot of compression , crank seals all fine.
i would say get your bike out of that garage as soon as poss, because they dont know what they are doing :whistle: if they fully fix the bike, then they can charge you, and i would ask for a test ride before you hand over any money....if they cant find the fault then sorry but no way would i hand over any money...
cheers guys, i wont pay them what they want unless they fix it lol i will ring the garage tomorrow and i will say to them check the wiring + rollers, if no success migt sell the bike even tho i have new parts here! lol thanks guys any more suggestions please let me know.
i still can not get my head around it when the air filter is in it starts everytime but doesnt drive, when the air filter is out it takes the p++s to start but drives
Deffo sound carb Sound like filter on it needs more air like myn did , the when the filter oh its getting to much air making it leaner harder to start , but rides as it has air. Im 99% its a carb problem .
disconnect the choke and try. still the same remove the filter and put a rag over the carb where the filter goes. it could need the needle lifting or the carb adjusting. take it from the garage and do it yourself
