Yamaha Aerox Problens, need help as soon as???

Hello people, thought i would post my problem about my scooter for you guys to suss out, i have a 57 aerox 50 and i fitted a Leo Vince TT onnit to freshen it up for cheap and change the rollers and springs for the ones that were provided with the exhaust, that all went fine and the bike runs and does a easy speed of 55-60 now no problymo, so the problem is when i come to a stop at traffic lights for example, when i start going the bike goes in to a slow mode for a min or so at around 10-20 mph then the bike seems to get out of it and its picks up its speed straight away, only some time's does the scooter decided to function properly and pull of fine, but if not i would have to slow down then rev to pick up its pase., ive tryed moving the needle in the carb but that has no effect, i was thinking re-jetting but i would need to know whether to go high or low, anyone know??????

 

sounds as if your rollers are too heavy, try using lighter rollers.

 

Ive got 4.3g rollers innit the ones that comes with the leo vince tt exhaust?

Ive got the same problem as the guy with the runner, cant remeber name ridercollide or something, but mine picks up after 15-20 then goes rapid to 60.

 

your problem is jetting my friendings. becoz you fitted an exhaust you obviosly need more petrol going thru the engine... to do this you must upjet your bike atleast 5-7% aerox will have a 62 main jet and you will need about 66-68 main jet to get it going properly

 

Cheers alperin, i knew it was up jeting but didnt know how much to upjet it by, also going to buy a polini/malossi varitor for it aswell, just got to find out what the standard name of the carb is on a aerox the guy said.

 

aeroxes after 54 plate have 12mm carbs and 62 main jet as standard

 

Yeah okay, but was is the name of the carb, theres 2 different ones the guy said.

Dad thinks it might not be a gurtner but it wouldnt be a dellerto one would it because there not standard in bikes, arhhhh

 

its 100 percent gurtner if its standard.

 

Iv got a box of jets for a 12mm gutner carb for sale if your interested?
