I've just got a yamaha aerox ns50 2018, and the front and back lights don't work unless the bike is been rev'd. All the other light, indicators and brake lights work.

We've pulled it apart the best we can and found a loom with a blue and yellow/red wire coming from it. When we connected the blue to the battery direct the lights work, but we cant see where this should connect. Any ideas?

    Thanks

Check the wattage of the bulb. The headlights are usually wired to only work when the engine is running. It should be low wattage bulb... 30w iirc. People put 55w bulbs in as a replacement but the generator can't power them. It's normal for the headlight bulbs to be dimmer when the engine is at tickover, coming to full brightness at 3000 rpm ish
