hi all i have a 2002 yamaha aerox at the minute it has got a standard variator on it i have then fitted a leo vince tt pipe i put on the clutch springs and rollers which came with the exhaust and my acceleration isnt the best my jet size is a 95 and i have got a performance air filter on it at a max speed of 40mph this is all i can reach help me please!!!!
First off all the rollers and springs that come with the pipe are not always best suited to your bike. So you may need to have a play around with both to get the smoothest ride! Second, does you aerox have delly carb or gurtner carb? If its a delly a 95 jet seems far too small, as standard is 86! If its the gurtner you may need play around with it, because of you air filter. BUT I recomend putting the standard box back on! Last, Aerox variators are known to be awful, so I'd invest in a performance on. Not sure you'll get much more out of it though, its only a 50 Hope that helped bud!
I myself have the polini vairator. I haven't had any problems with it and makes my aetox accelerate smooth! I can't comment on the other companies as I haven't used their vairators. But, I'm sure stage 6 and mallosi would be just as good! Have a look on ped parts for them mate
Motoforce one is 34 quid and its pretty good, my top racing one is similar and it's great. Much better than standard.
Multivars are good .. http://www.pedparts.co.uk/product/25/aerox-minarelli-malossi-speed-control-variator
