On top of the cylinder head is 2 nipples? What are they actually for, I've ordered the stage6 streetrace and it only has 1, Can someone guide me through this? Thanks!
Think theyre just there to cool the carb down quicker? probably wrong tho hahaha I havent got anything running off my 2 pipes ( 50cc ) .... always did wonder if thats why it runs weird
It's really weird, I'm not too sure what they are or what's in the 2 pipes but on the streetrace there's only 1 nipple which is for the water to bleed it? Lol
two bleed nipples ?? My head has two, One running from the water outlet into the head and one's a bleed nipple (Zip)
I found out they are on top of the head and they arnt even bleeding nipples, They each have a pipe which go into the carb so it cools down the coolant abit through the carb and then runs back into the head
Yeah I know, Bloody stupid Init lol, With any other cylinder it has a single or maybe 2 bleeding nipples, I think yamaha tryed to find a way to cool the water down even more I suppose
My moped if I turn the pump on idles at 38degrees lmao! I got to leave the pump off when i'm not going along haha
Only by disconnecting the pipe from the carb. It's not quite so much of an issue on the standard head as any airlock would be at the highest point which is the carb and not cause a hot spot.
I was thinking about getting the stage6 primary gearing? Would it make a lot of diffrence on the streetrace 70's?
I havn't got one due to the wide powerband of the streetrace. But if you want to run at high speed for a long time then it may be worth it, but don't forget most of the time your speed is restricted by the slowest bike with you.your
Yeah would it help acceleration? I don't want too much top speed as I'm keeping the standard crank untill next year
A gear up kit will not help acceleration in fact it could reduce it. At lower speeds the variator should take care of acceleration but once it it's fully deployed then it's up to the engine alone, if its overgeared then the motor may struggle a little. It could be noticable going uphill. My advice through experience is fit the streetrace with a 17.5 carb, pro rep exhaust, carbon reads and a decent variator and you'll never get the smile off your face.
