could anybody please tell me if it will be okay to ride my 2002 yamaha aerox 70 without an air filter, it has 21 mil carb and the person i bought it off said it runs better without the airfilter, any help would be much appreciated, thanks for your time.

I doubt if the standard air filter will fit on a 21mm. To be honest a 21mm carb is too big for a mildly tuned 70, your much better off with a 17.5 or a 19. A mildly tuned 70 does not suck in much more air than a 50 and when it's sucking it in through a 21mm carb with no filter the air is not moving quickly enough to atomise the fuel properly.
Try taking a lungful of air with your mouth wide open and you'll get the message.
