yamaha aerox 2010 tuning! help?

my friend has a yamaha aerox 2010 plate.
we took out the variator washer and still on went 30 mph
i then got told it has some thing to do with his cdi unit.
is it possible to derestrict this cdi unit or does he need to buy a unlimited rev cdi unit off adrenaline pedstop?

 

have you took the restrictor off the exhaust ??

 

we couldn,t see it so we thought it was further down the pipe but he has just bought a gianelli xhaust which should be here on tuesday. but if no difference happens what could it be?

make sure the giannelli isnt restricted too

you can take the cdi down you local scooter and apparently its only a fiver to restricted, and whats this about this correct washer? i took a washer out of my variator (i hope it was the correct one :banghead: :banghead: )

 

I got a new gianelli exhaust last week, it had a restricter cone in the down-pipe, fortunately they make it easy to grind the welds down and remove it.

 

o thats good news if the restrictors are easy to get out and thats only cheap as well to de restrict the cdi unit.

i have bought a 51 plate vivacity 100 scooter and its got a tecnigas race pipe on it but the acceleration is really flat up to ten miles an hour which is dangerous then it just flys!!
i have been told it could be the stata plate which i dont believe or the rollers does anyone know the size of rollers i should have??

 

on my old bike my acceleration was crap so got 5 gram rollers and hard clutch springs and then the acceleration was great.

 

:grin: cheers phil i will try that and see how it goes its just doing my head in cos its insured and legal but i cannot ride it, if that doesnt work could it be the pipe?

2day the exhaust came and i looked at the variator again and i missed the derestriction washer. :blush:
but fitted the exhaust and the top end is brilliant he got 58 mph
but the acceleration is crap it take about 5to 8 seconds for it to reach 20mph then it shoots off can any1 help please?

I recon it could be something to do with the jetting or rollers, what weight rollers you got in and what engine?

 

he got a set of rollers with his pipe 4gram
but my dad said he need a bigger main jet? is that right
